Pochettino to pick Lloris

MAURICIO POCHETTINO is expected to stand by Hugo Lloris tomorrow against Manchester United after the Tottenham captain was arrested and charged with drink-driving, causing him to miss training on Friday as he was in police custody.

The keeper has apologised and will be subject to an internal disciplinary process but is still expected to start.

Although Pochettino has shown ruthlessness, for example with Kyle Walker or Toby Alderweireld when he felt their commitment to the cause had wavered, it is thought he will stick by his keeper, with whom he is close. But it is possible Lloris will lose the captaincy to Harry Kane.
