HIV fear of charity trip pupils after call girl sex

Boys met prostitutes at bar

A STOLEN night in a foreign clime may have more serious consequences for two boys who are pupils in a private school.

A WhatsApp recording of an account of the pupils having sex with prostitutes while on a school charity trip went viral this week.

But more worrying than the embarrassment, is the possibility that the prostitutes had HIV – with at least one of the boys understood to have engaged in unprotected sex. The incident took place over the summer but its emergence is down to what appears to be a student – or past pupil – relaying what he had heard happened in colourful detail on a WhatsApp voice message.

According to the recordings three male students, who were in a developing country to assist in the building of houses with their school, snuck out of their accommodation and went drinking in the nearby town.

One of the boys went home and stayed there but later that night the other two brought two prostitutes back to the accommodation having been approached by a man outside a bar.

Prostitution is legal in the country but, according to the recording and other reports, one of the boys (who is named in the WhatsApp message) had unprotected sex with one of the women who later told him she was ‘sick’.

In a state of panic the student confessed the incident to a teacher on the trip and the two boys were taken to hospital where he and the other pupil were put on anti-viral medication and are now awaiting the results of HIV blood tests.

The Irish Mail On Sunday contacted both the boys’ school and their hosts during the trip but neither responded to our questions.
