Miracle escape as family fall in front of Tube train
A FAMILY of three has had a miraculous escape after the mother and her child fell into the path of an oncoming Tube train.
The woman accidentally stumbled on to the tracks while pushing her child in a buggy – then the father jumped down to help. As the London Underground train hurtled towards them, the family managed to duck into a pit under the track, allowing the train to pass safely over them.
The family also avoided the electrified rails at Baker Street station during the drama, which took place at 10.15pm on Friday.
British Transport Police said: ‘All three were extremely fortunate. Amazingly none of them were seriously hurt.’
