1966 KILKENNY v CORK

-

THE Cats were heavy favourites, as Cork were still trying to shake off some of the darkest days in their history – they lost the 1965 Munster final by 18 points to Tipperary. Trailing by two points at half-time in their first All-Ireland appearance in 10 years, goals from Colm Sheehan and John O’Halloran saw Liam MacCarthy return to Leeside, Cork winning 3-9 to 1-10.
