FORMER Leinster flanker Dominic Ryan has been forced to retire from rugby at the age of 28 due to a series of concussion issues.
Ryan – who won one cap for Ireland against Georgia in 2014 – joined Leicester Tigers last season after eight years with Leinster, but only made five appearances for the English side after suffering troubling head issue following a collision with Northampton’s George North last September.
Ryan was plagued by migraines and dizziness over the remainder of the season, but is migraine-free since his last collision with a tackle-bag.
nNEW ZEALAND kept up their 100 per cent record in the Rugby Championship with a hardearned 46-24 win over Argentina in Nelson.
Steve Hansen made seven changes to his team after two comfortable defeats of Australia, with Crusanders’ Richie Mo’unga kicking 16 points on his full debut.
