Murphy lets rip at Healey

THE red carpet will not be rolled out for Austin Healey at Leicester’s Welford Road ground any time soon. Tigers’ multicapped Irish coach Geordan Murphy sent a ‘sweary’ text to Healey after reading his newspaper column in which he branded the club a ‘shambles’ and criticised the board. ‘Austin and sensationalism have been used together quite a lot,’ said Murphy (right). ‘He’s a mate but I sent him an interesting text. There were a few swear words but a couple of kisses at the end.’ IT was very noticeable on the video of 70 England players paying tribute to retiring teammate Alastair Cook, how many spoke with a South African accent. There was also an Irish one, their T20 captain Eoin Morgan. And yet the purists have the neck to point to the smattering of imports who have served Ireland so brillianty over the past decade or so?
