Meghan’s sister jets in ‘for family showdown’

-

MEGHAN Markle’s half-sister Samantha has arrived in Britain ready for a showdown over what she calls the Duchess of Sussex’s ‘shameful’ treatment of their father.

Ms Markle, who suffers from multiple sclerosis and uses a wheelchair, has vowed to sit outside Kensington Palace in a bid to get her sister’s attention. Harry and Meghan live in a cottage at the palace.

A source close to Samantha, 53, born to Meghan’s father Thomas’s first wife, said: ‘She has tried everything she can to get in touch with Meghan privately.

‘She feels she has no option now but to go public and try to confront Meghan in person. She feels Meghan has behaved shamefully towards their father and she wants to have it out with her face-to-face.’

Mr Markle, 74, pulled out of his daughter’s May wedding to Prince Harry after suffering a heart attack days before the ceremony.

Mr Markle told the MoS in an interview that he thought Meghan – who came from his second marriage – ‘would probably prefer it if I end up dead. Then I wouldn’t be such an embarrassment to her.’

Samantha has been a regular critic of her half-sister, calling her ‘coldhearted and inhumane’ saying: ‘Meg owes our father love and respect.’
