Blackadder stands by call to rest stars

BATH coach Todd Blackadder defended his weakened selection after his team were hammered 50-27 away to Saracens.

Blackadder, who has ex-Leinster assistant as his backs coach, rested a host of first-choice players including internationals Taulupe Faletau (rightt), Luke Charteris, Dave Attwood and Freddie Burns.

‘We’ve got a massive month coming up and I stand by the decision, absolutely stand by it. We’re doing the best thing for our team and our players,’ said Blackadder.
