Warnock pessimistic about English bosses

- – ROB COLE

NEIL WARNOCK believes Sean Dyche is the best of British when it comes to Premier League managers, but can’t see him ever getting a top job.

When it comes to management the wily Warnock, 70 in December, has done almost everything and his Cardiff side host Dyche’s Burnley today.

‘I am pleased that people like (Steven) Gerrard and (Frank) Lampard are having a go and, hopefully, one or two others who had good playing careers will try management as well. (But) I think it will be very difficult for a British manager to end up at one of the top six clubs because the owners are looking for a top foreign manager. Sean Dyche is as good as it gets in English managers and he does it the hard way.’
