The £90m man’s figures don’t add up to much

PAUL POGBA’S 70 minutes against West Ham were largely unmemorabl­e.

He ran just 113 metres per minute, less than midfield team-mates Nemanja Matic and Marouane Fellaini, and less than West Ham’s Mark Noble, six years his senior.

Pogba couldn’t even match Fellaini’s top speed, had half as many passes per minute as Matic and delivered just 12 per cent of United’s total passes. It was hardly the impact Jose Mourinho would have wanted from his £90m man.
