the Republic of Ireland didn’t have a home international in September, which left plenty of leeway for the FAI to distribute their 2018-19 season tickets which went on sale on May 8.

Yet some season ticket holders, despite paying in advance, were informed before the Denmark game that their tickets had not been processed, and so had to make do with temporary paper tickets to gain admission to the Aviva Stadium.

The season ticket covers the five Irish internationals of 2018-19 and the Irish Daily Mail FAI Cup final. For some reason, though, the Aviva Stadium announcer keeps stating the season ticket includes ‘free’ admission to the Cup final on November 4. It’s not free – it has been paid for!
