LOVE 8... IT’S THE NEWEST SWISH BMW

BMW’s new flagship 8 Series coupé will go on sale this month. The low-slung, two-door model (above), is a feisty cruiser-bruiser that comes into its own as a sporty grand tourer. The version I drove is powered by a meaty 530hp, 4.4l V8 petrol engine Costing from €125,725, it’s a beautifully sculpted and powerful car.

Volkswagen’s new TCross compact SUV was unveiled this week. The five-seater – on sale in 2019 – has a choice of two 1l TSI engines and a host of safety tech. The 95hp model is linked to five-speed manual gearbox, while the 115hp has a six-speed manual or a seven-speed automatic.
