SINGER ON A WING AND A PRAYER
Kevin C Olohan is an energetic performer with an attractive stage presence, a nice line in self-deprecating humour, an electric guitar and a satiric folk tale to tell in his one-man show
Cassowary HHH at Theatre Upstairs, Lanigan’s. It’s done in the persona of Román Ó Talùn, a balladeer with a dislike of birds since a heron made off with his pet goldfish. We are taken on a balladeering tour to Australia by way of Wicklow and Dublin. Kevin is a fan of Bob Dylan and the Clancy Brothers, briefly imitating his heroes, and telling us of his exploits in the rain forest of North Australia, where he hopes to see the dangerous 6ft Cassowary bird. Losing focus at the end, Cassowary could have done with some vigorous pruning. Runs until Nov 24.
