Don’t fret Elisabeth, you won’t be stuck in a never-ending tale

MARGARET Atwood has announced a sequel to the The Handmaid’s Tale, set 15 years later in Gilead and describing the fate of the hooded females. Great news for readers, but not perhaps for Bruce Miller, the powerhouse behind the hit television adaptation starring Elisabeth Moss, right.

The second series, which took up where the novel left off, was as flat as a pancake save for episodic scenes of sickening and gratuitous violence. Not only that but Miller said that the series could run to a mindboggling 10 seasons. Thankfully that ludicrous prospect looks remote now, given how Atwood has taken back control of Gilead.
