INSTALLING a video camera is the latest way to save on car insurance (Bill Tyson’s Personal Finance, MoS, November 25).

I have had a dashcam for many years, which records sound and vision perfectly. I have a sticker displaying the fact that there is a camera in action.

I am insured with Axa, which is giving a discount for anyone with a dashcam as your article states. What your article failed to say was that Axa only accepts one make of camera. On that basis, I was not eligible for the discount.

When it comes to insurance companies offering discounts, watch out: there is always a catch.
