Big-hearted Keeva’s gift keeps giving

-

When Keeva Delaney gets an idea in her head, she sticks with it. One day, the 11-year-old decided she would write a book, illustrate it, and not only that, but donate the proceeds to charity.

The result of Keeva’s inspiration and hard work is The

Dolls’ Complaints, a feisty tale about a young girl who is seriously ill but, while getting treated in hospital, receives letters from her dolls at home who miss her something awful.

The book, which costs €8, is being sold in Dunnes Stores and online with all the proceeds going to Cliona’s Foundation, which provides financial assistance to the parents of children with life-limiting conditions.

Keeva, left, from Carlow, said of the project: ‘I wanted to bring toys to life and thought that dolls could have some very funny stories.’

And we say well done to you Keeva!
