Sharon’s in her Prime with all-star love story

-

COMEDIANS Sharon Horgan and Tina Fey have teamed up for a new Amazon Prime TV show.

The much-praised show, Modern Love, is from John Carney – the director behind Once and Sing Street – and is based on a popular New York Times column.

Tina was spotted on location last month in New York where she was shooting one of the eight segments in the romcom anthology series. The episode was written and directed by Horgan, and also stars John Slattery of Mad Men fame.

‘It’s like I woke up in the actor candy store,’ Carney, told Deadline.com. ‘We’ve managed to assemble a dream cast of my favourite actors. It’s a testament to the reach of the original column and of how, now more than ever, love is the only certainty.’

Anne Hathaway, Dev Patel and Andy Garcia are also set to appear in the upcoming series which is out next year.

Meanwhile, it seems there is no sign of Sharon Horgan’s career slowing down as the Irish actress, right, is also working on a separate project for the streaming service.

Dirty is about ‘a principled woman who takes her first steps into a world of moral complexity’. She told Deadline. com: ‘I loved this idea from the minute I read it. There’s a grit to it that feels very new.’
