‘We were more like father and daughter’
EVEN though there was a 43-year age gap between them, Patsy Brogan insisted that he would marry his Polish girlfriend, Daria Weiske.
But despite their muchpublicised plans to walk down the aisle, the couple never married.
And this weekend, the Polish waitress revealed they were more like a father and daughter than star-crossed lovers.
‘It was a kind of love for sure. We were friends... more a parent’s love,’ she explained to the Mail on Sunday.
‘I was a bit lonely and looking for anything to fix myself.
‘He was very good to me. The situation was quite hard. It’s sad. I miss him so badly.
‘It was a little bit hard to go to the funeral. People were very nice to me and nobody said anything wrong to me.’
