THE whereabouts of a former RTÉ sports producer convicted of child sex offences in the UK are unknown, following his release from prison this week after serving just ten months of his 18-month sentence.

Kieran Creaven will have to keep gardaí informed of his whereabouts for ten years following his release from custody in the UK.

He formerly lived with his wife in Dublin, but it is understood he has not yet notified gardaí of a new address.

If he had arrived back in Ireland last Tuesday following his release on Monday, he would be obliged to notify gardaí by January 15.

Creaven, 55, planned on two occasions to fly over from his home in Dublin to meet a ‘13year-old girl’ he had contacted through Facebook messages.

The account, however, proved to be a fake and was set up by the Facebook group Predator Exposure, which notified police after they cornered him outside a hotel in Leeds on November 18, 2017.
