organisers of the St Patrick’s Festival believe that the five-day jamboree should be expanded into a month-long celebration, reaping immense benefits for tourism, business and the arts. That’s all very well, but perhaps Dubliners should first be canvassed about their wish to see the city turn into a tacky theme park for a month every year.
