TOP TIER IS SO CRUCIAL FOR HARTE
MICKEY HARTE has warned that it is crucial that Tyrone avoid the drop into Division 2 of the National League.
Last year’s All-Ireland finalists have picked up just one point from their opening three games, losing to Kerry and Mayo, before grabbing a fortunate draw with Roscommon last Sunday.
‘It’s totally important, crucial to stay in Division 1, because this is where you get competitive football all year round,’ said Harte.
‘That’s no disrespect, but there’s some teams in Division 2 who aren’t at the level of Division 2 football, and that tells a tale.’
Elsewhere, 2017 champions St Mary’s are through to the final of the Sigerson Cup after a 0-10 to 0-7 win against holders UCD in Mallow yesterday.

St Mary’s will play the winners of UCC and NUIG, who contest the other semifinal this afternoon.
