THE Cummings and not-going-anywhere at No.10 Downing Street this week was pitted with political potholes for UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson to navigate.
Like many others, I rolled my eyes so hard at defiant Dom’s risible explanation that he made a 100km round trip to the beauty spot of Barnard Castle with his young child strapped in the back – on what was coincidentally his wife’s birthday –to ‘test his eyesight’ after a bout of Covid-19.
Dominic Cummings’ Rose Garden recitation, at the back of No.10, of his recent journey down memory lane was at best an inconceivable excuse and at worst a tacit, albeit watered-down admission that he had breached the lockdown rules he himself helped draft and expected others to adhere to.
