He’s already enjoyed success with his High Hopes Choir and The Choir of Ages but now world-renowned concert orchestra conductor David Brophy is back and taking on a new challenge in this two-part documentar­y. He’s assembling a choir made up of family carers (pictured), and the cameras will not only follow their musical journeys but also explore their lives. The singers include mother of three Jane Johnstone, who cares for her two autistic sons, and Hannah Power, whose husband was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s.

Highland Road Rescue – Our Lives 7.30PM, BBC1 ★★★

Jamie and his sister Jean run a recovery company that was started by their parents. As they are based in the Scottish Highlands, that means they rescue motorists from Britain’s most challengin­g roads.

Grey’s Anatomy 9PM, RTé2 ★★★

The first episode in tonight’s double bill is a crossover with the firefighte­r drama Station 19 – and it also finds Meredith looking to the future. In the second helping, staff deal with the fallout from a crash as they try to save their colleagues.

Cardinal: Until The Night 9PM, BBC2 ★★★★

In the chilly fictional city of Algonquin Bay, Canadian detectives Cardinal and Delorme (Billy Campell and Karine Vanasse) wrap up warm for one last case investigat­ing the disappeara­nce of a politician’s husband.
