Funny as watching Daniel Mays (left) play an idiot has been, the joke is wearing thin – so, his sudden upgrade into an intelligent robocop in tonight’s finale makes for a bracing change. He’s not only smarter, he’s darker, so what does that mean for his partner’s secret? There will be a series two.
