Chloe’s sparkling trip to Italy comes in the Nick of time

JEWELLERY designer Chloe Townsend has a new diamond in her life and they enjoyed la dolce vita in Italy on a romantic getaway, the Irish Mail on Sunday can reveal.

The stunning socialite, sister of actor Stuart Townsend, attended the swanky Butterfly Ball in celebrity-soaked Lake Como on the arm of her dapper date Dubliner Nick Kenny.

The couple, right, cut a glamourous dash with Chloe wearing an elegant green gown and Nick in a suit and bow tie for the gala.

Chloe’s Italian break comes a year after she was pictured on the arm of former housing minister Eoghan Murphy at the nuptials of actress Jenny Dixon and politician Tom Neville.

But months after they debuted their romance the couple parted ways with the MoS revealing that their short-lived relationsh­ip fizzled out.’

At the time of the split sources told us that their romance came to a natural end.

‘There’s no bad blood. They both decided to end it, there was no drama, it just fizzled out,’ said a source. But Howth native Chloe looks to have found a new home for her heart, looking smitten with handsome Nick.

A Trinity graduate, he has forged a career in the emerging legal cannabis industry and is listed as an independen­t strategic adviser in corporate strategy and marketing, helping companies navigate the legal potholes. His work in the industry has taken him from North American to Europe where he us leading the corporate call to legalise cannabis.

He previously worked in America as the US director of marketing for Imperial Brands PLC, a global consumer goods company.

But work was last things on the couple’s mind in Italy. Looking positively peachy Chloe donned a two-piece bandeau bikini as they joined friends for a boat trip on the crystal-clear waters of Lake Como.

There was also time to take in the scenery that Como has to offer and fashionist­a Chloe’s couture choices of a floor length white and rose, flowing halter dress blended beautifull­y against the backdrop of the mountains and lakes.
