SKY ON DEMAND

DRAMA Fortitude (All three seasons) ★★★ Sky’s drama set in the remote town of Fortitude starts out as a kind of Scandi noir, before spiralling into a B-movie-style story about killer wasps. It’s full of familiar faces, including Michael Gambon, Richard Dormer and The Killing’s Sofie Grabol.

COMEDY Harry Hill’s Tea Time (All 20 episodes) ★★★★ Hill’s Sky series is a gleefully silly mix of chat and spoof cookery show. His first guest is Paul Hollywood, and the comic wastes no time embarrassing him.

DOCUMENTARY Hillary (All four parts) ★★★★★ Rarely does a profile hear as much from its subject or have as much access to footage as Nanette Burstein’s project, which, despite being over four hours long, makes every minute seem essential.

MOVIE Mulan II (2004) U n ★★★ Listen out for Killing Eve’s Sandra Oh in this sequel, which picks up the story soon after the animated original. Subscribers to Disney+ can find that on the platform, along with the new remake, from Friday.

NETFLIX

NEW! Away (Season 1) ★★★★ Netflix’s ambitious new astronaut drama sets a high bar in its first episode, and lives up to it. Be prepared for plenty of heart-in-mouth moments as a three-year Mars mission led by a determined ex-Navy pilot (Hilary Swank) sets off from the moon. If we don’t get a second season, there’ll be trouble. From Friday.

NEW! Young Wallander (Season 1) ★★★★ English-language prequel about a formative case for the Swedish detective, with a soulful performance from Adam Palsson as an idealistic Kurt. From Thursday.

NEW! Borgen (All three seasons) ★★★★ This tangled Danish drama turned on the plots of a prime minister, a reporter and a spin doctor (Pilou Asbaek, above, with Sidse Babett Knudsen), and hasn’t been available on demand for a good while. From Tuesday.
