FIVE THINGS YOU DIDN’T KNOW ABOUT ME...

- DAKOTA JOHNSON

1I haven’t been on many dates because I’ve only ever been in long-term relationships, but I had an interesting date with one former boyfriend. We went skydiving together – he could have killed me, but I’m still here...

2The kitchen in my house is very small and it’s also hidden away like a little alcove, but I love cooking. I cook everything – steak, pasta, chicken, vegetables – I even like baking too. It feels very grounding to be in the kitchen.

3One of the best days of my life was when

I was stuck inside during a blizzard in New York. I suddenly realised it was the perfect vacation day so I spent it binge-watching French movies.

4I have many happy childhood memories of staying in hotels. My parents [actors Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith] were always on location and the second my brother and I got to a new hotel we would both run around the room, trying to find out where everything was, like it was our new home.

5I’ve always liked the idea of pretending to be someone else in my work life, so I can just be myself in real life. Even when I was a teenager I loved the theatre – the play that touched me most then was The Hypochondriac by Molière, written in 1673. I just loved it – the period, the style, everything.
