Return To The Wild: The Bearman Of Buncrana 8.30PM, RTé ONE ★★★★

A few centuries ago, Ireland was covered by a forest, which was home to wolves, brown bears, Eurasian lynx and wild boar.

This new series follows solicitor Killian McLaughlin on his mission to bring those animals back as he creates a unique wildlife park in a small pocket of Donegal woodland. He has the support of his wife Katie (right, with Killian), a Dublin solicitor who is willing to swap city life for something wilder, but even with her help, his mission is going to be dogged by red tape, a ballooning budget and the vagaries of the Irish weather.

Seal le Dáithí 7.30PM, TG4 ★★★

Dáithí Ó Sé returns for a new series. His first guest is broadcaster, actor, musician and comedian Aonghus McAnally, who recently retired from RTÉ television and radio after 41 years. He’ll be looking back on his lengthy career.

The 2 Johnnies Do America 9.30PM, RTé2 ★★★

The duo round off their visit to LA with a spot of goat yoga with Irish actress, model and writer Hannah Rose May. Then, after a trip to a brewery in Santa Monica, they head to Miami for mermaid lessons.

Semi-Detached 9.35PM, BBC2 ★★★

It’s the last episode of the daily woes of put-upon Stuart, and things take a medical turn for the worse. With his dad Willie sick in hospital, Stuart and his motley family rush to his side. But faced with a needle himself, he’s less than happy.
