ACTRESS Amy Huberman has revealed that while she is enjoying her third pregnancy – a fourth is not on the cards.

The down-to-earth actress, who appears on the latest episode of Virgin Media’s Lodging With Lucy, also found out how centrally involved her best friend was in setting up her relationship with rugby legend Brian O’Driscoll.

Regularly described as Ireland’s golden couple, the pair married in Lough Rynn Castle, Co. Leitrim in 2010 and already have two children, Sadie, seven, and Billy, five.

Asked about her pregnancy which she revealed on social media with a post of a bun in an oven, she told Lucy Kennedy: ‘I thought it would be harder because I’m older, but it’s been easier.’

And she revealed she isn’t going to find out the sex of her third child before the birth.

‘I’d love it to be a surprise. I was wrong on the first two. I

was convinced Sadie was a boy and Billy was a girl.’

She told Lucy she feels her family will be complete with three children, admitting: ‘I’m really excited. I thought I was done with two and I don’t know what the change was, maybe it was the older we were getting.

‘I was thinking maybe there is a third one out there. I felt very lucky when it eventually did happen.’ But she ruled out any more, saying: ‘No. No. No more children.’

During the TV interview Amy recalls how her first birth came hours after she attended the IFTAs with her mother and hours before Ireland played England in Dublin.

‘Brian was still playing for Ireland and it was “Oh you better not go into labour the day England play Ireland” and I was like “As if…” and “Go”.

‘They were in camp and I rang him [Brian], and he arrived in his full kit.

‘She actually was born and then he went off and played.

‘I was as high as a kite, I was so giddy on everything. They lost and he said it was the only time when they lost he was like “Neehh” and just headed off.’

Amy’s best friend, actress Norma Sheahan, who also makes an appearance on the episode, tells of her instrumental role in setting up the first meeting of her former Clinic co-star and the rugby legend.

Norma surprises her best friend, Amy, by revealing just how involved she was in setting up her first date with Brian O’Driscoll.

She recalled: ‘ We have a mutual friend and she said, “Look, Brian has spotted this Amy one, she seems decent enough”.

‘I said, “Funnily enough I’m meeting her tomorrow night”.’

The Moone Boy star described how a plan was cooked up to have the pair accidentally meet at the Merrion Hotel in Dublin.

But she said it almost didn’t happen when Amy felt sick in the car on their way up to Dublin that evening.

Norma added: ‘I’m plying her with Rancheros and jellies and said, “No, you’re coming”. ‘I got her in there.’

Amy revealed she was completely in the dark about the whole set-up.

‘I didn’t know what was happening, I was suddenly in the Merrion [Hotel] in a tracksuit,’ she recalled before asking Norma, ‘Did you know that was happening for the whole day?’

The Cork actress remembers two of Brian’s friends telling ‘every embarrassing, mortifying story’ about him during the first meeting.

But Amy added: ‘I remember how lovely he was that night. He was so humble and sweet and kind. I don’t know why I would have thought any different?’

She admitted Brian’s family have helped to keep him so grounded.

‘I’ve been so lucky as an extension that he has come with this great family. They are just very solid, and he is very solid. He’s a great fella.’

The Dubliner went on to explain that they are best friends.

‘I always say this about Brian – he kind of allows me the silliness that I enjoy.

‘He is very grounding and very emotionally mature. He’s just my best mate, we just laugh and chat.’

This episode of the Virgin Media series also features a cheeky segment of chef Nick Reynolds, posing for a portrait painted by Lucy Kennedy and Amy Huberman while wearing nothing but his apron.

‘He’s my best mate, we just laugh’
