This highly stylish eight-part drama tells the true story of a serial killer who preyed on tourists along Asia’s Hippie Trail. In the 1970s, French con man Charles Sobhraj (Tahar Rahim) lures his victims into a web of deceit before robbing and killing them. Aided by his devoted girlfriend, MarieAndree Leclerc (a great performance by Jenna Coleman, right with Rahim), Sobhraj evades capture – until Dutch diplomat Herman Knippenberg (Billy Howle) is unwittingly embroiled in Sobhraj’s crimes, and the real cat-and-mouse game begins…
