INTRIGUING TALE OF OPERATIC SUPERSTAR
The Irish Baroque Orchestra, with the superb mezzo soprano Tara Erraught, is releasing a CD on March 13, telling the intriguing story of the Italian castrato Giusto Tenducci and his experiences in Ireland. Tenducci was a superstar in his day, making a huge impact in 18th century Dublin. He also caused a major scandal by eloping to Cork with his 15-year-old student Dorothea Maunsell and marrying her.
