DNA Journey

9PM, UTV ★★★★

After Ant and Dec took a tour of their family lines in 2019, six new celebrities have signed up for a life-changing ancestral road trip. First up, it’s Freddie Flintoff and Jamie Redknapp. They’ve been friends for a long time, which makes for some fun, competitive banter as they travel the country and are introduced to some colourful characters and distant relatives. The stories they hear of what their ancestors endured are a long way from the comforts that success on the cricket and football pitches have bought them.

Castle Rock 9.30PM, RTé2 ★★★

The series set in the Stephen King universe concludes with a double bill. In the first episode, Castle Rock falls to darkness as Annie (Lizzy Caplan, above) and the others wonder how to save the town. Meanwhile, Pop has to confront his demons.

PEIG 9.30PM, TG4 ★★★

Peig Sayers has been jokingly called the most hated woman in Irish history, mainly because of her memoir, which tormented students. However, broadcaster Sinéad Ní Uallacháin is here to give Peig’s legacy a makeover.

Trapped 11.30PM, RTé2 ★★★

The Icelandic thriller continues as Ketill begins to develop suspicions about Skuli’s illness after discovering dead animals up by the lakes. Thorhildur’s youthful indiscretions could have serious consequences, and Ebo feels in danger.
