THREE certainly seems to be the magic number for Rosanna Davison with her third book set to land on shelves this June, the Irish Mail on Sunday can reveal.

The former Miss World has just completed the book, which she wrote in just

‘We didn’t give up hope, you have to be a realist’

three months, detailing her journey to becoming a mother-of-three.

And, significantly, those three children are all infants under 18 months old – with daughter Sophia having just turned one when her brothers, twins Hugo and Oscar, came along last November

So Rosanna is certainly kept busy with three babies to tend to.

But, in her spare time, she has been hard at work detailing her journey from multiple miscarriages to surrogacy to giving birth to twins.

The doting mum signed a deal with Gill, the publishing house with whom she worked on her first two bestselling food books.

For Rosanna and her husband Wesley the journey to parenthood was fraught with heartache.

In 2019, she revealed that she had experienced 14 miscarriages

before she decided to have her first child via surrogate.

‘We didn’t give up hope, but you have to be a realist,’ she said.

‘By 2017, I had had so many consecutive miscarriages that I had begun to think it wouldn’t happen, maybe we weren’t destined for this,’ she said at the time.

In November 2019, the couple welcomed daughter Sophia who was born in Poland by gestational surrogacy.

Then, last year, the couple were stunned when they discovered that their small family was about to grow in size as a shocked Rosanna was told that she was pregnant with twins.

Speaking of the moment when she and Wesley were told there was double-trouble on the way, Rosanna said she has the precious moment saved for posterity, saying it felt like ‘the biggest miracle after our fertility struggles’.

‘The previous week I had gone in for an early scan and was amazed to see a tiny foetus with a beating heart up on the screen, so I had been absolutely thrilled,’ she said.

‘But when the doctor announced there were twins in there, there were tears and a few swear words too – in the best kind of way! Total shock, amazement and delight. I have it all recorded on video to show my boys someday,’ she said.

Rosanna’s story touched many would-be-parents who are similarly trying to conceive.

Her father Chris de Burgh believes the latest book will inspire others who are struggling to conceive.

‘I’m sure you know a number of women who are reluctant to talk about miscarriages but it does happen and that’s what makes Rosanna’s story so uplifting.

‘I think Rosanna’s book will help a lot of people,’ he said when news of the book deal was confirmed.

Her previous foray into publishing with Gill saw her write two bestsellers, Eat Yourself Beautiful and Eat Yourself Fit, both of which flew off the shelves.

Rosanna did not return attempts to contact her for this story.
