9PM, 5STAR ★★★

Classic Cruise, if unashamedly slight. Tom stars as a bartender (above) who uses his flashy moves with shaker and sliced citrus fruit to impress Elisabeth Shue’s model of 1980s movie beauty – blonde with a perm.

A Few Good Men (1992) 15

Long Shot (2019) 15

◆ 10.45PM, BBC1 ★★★ PREMIERE Buoyed along by its likeable leads, this romcom is the story of a long shot at romance, as well as a long shot for the US Presidency. Charlize Theron (right) is the polished political candidate, with Seth Rogen as her unkempt speechwriter. Unlikely as it seems, they are a surprisingly good match.
