The BRIT Awards 2021 8PM, UTV ★★★★

This year’s celebratio­n of the best in UK and global music was delayed due to Covid. But now, with restrictio­ns in the UK eased, the good news is that there will be a live audience of 4,000 key workers inside London’s O2 for the ceremony. Comedian Jack Whitehall (right) hosts for the fourth successive year and performers include Dua Lipa, Rag’n’Bone Man and US superstar Pink. Dublin’s own Fontaines D.C. are in the running for Internatio­nal Group, against the likes of BTS, Foo Fighters, HAIM and Run The Jewels. Easy.

The series recalling episodes in Irish history involving bans concludes with a look at the scandal surroundin­g John McGahern’s novel The Dark, which was banned by the Irish state censor on grounds of obscenity back in 1965.

Inside Monaco: Playground Of The Rich 9PM, VIRGIN ONE ★★★

Fred Sirieix narrates a new documentar­y series exploring life in the principali­ty on the French Riviera, meeting the super rich – and the people who work for them. The first episode features Prince Albert.

Louis Theroux: Life On The Edge

9.40PM, RTé2 ★★★

The documentar­y-maker concludes his look back at some of his past projects by revisiting the films he made about families. They include a trilogy focused on the Westboro Baptist Church.
