It’s been 30 years since the world was introduced to the Dublin suburb of Barrytown. Colm Meaney (pictured), who starred in all three film adaptation­s, presents a celebratio­n of Roddy Doyle’s trilogy of novels, which followed a working-class Dublin family. It starts with a look at The Commitment­s.

The first Mr Men books were published in 1971, written and illustrate­d by Roger Hargreaves. Matt Lucas (right) traces the characters’ history, while Roger’s son, Adam – who took over from his father in 1988 – will introduce the newest members of the Mr Men/Little Miss family.

If you want new drama... THE PACT Monday-Tuesday, 9pm, BBC1

When a prank goes wrong and a man ends up dead, four friends are forced into a pact of silence. Eiry Thomas (Keeping Faith), Laura Fraser (The Missing), Julie Hesmondhal­gh (Broadchurc­h) and Heledd Gwynn (Ordinary Lies) – all right – play the conspirato­rs in a new six-part thriller.

If you want songs galore... EUROVISION Tuesday, 8pm, RTé2

Following the cancellati­on of last year’s Song Contest, all roads lead to Rotterdam for Eurovision 2021. Could Ireland score an eighth victory this year? To be in with a chance Dubliner Lesley Roy (right) has to make it through this first semi-final with the song Maps. Marty Whelan provides the commentary.

If you want a murder mystery... INNOCENT Monday-Thursday, 9pm, UTV

Torrid four-part drama starring Katherine Kelly as a teacher finally freed after being wrongly jailed for the murder of a pupil. Now, she’s back in her home town and determined to reclaim her life – only to find husband Sam (Jamie Bamber) engaged to her old friend Karen (Priyanga Burford, right).

If you want a biology lesson... PLEAN BEE Thursday, 9.30pm, TG4

Bee numbers have been declining in many countries over the past few decades, and Ireland is no exception. This documentar­y finds out the reasons why and looks at the potential consequenc­es if we fail to tackle the problem. It also explores the AllIreland Pollinator Plan, which hopes to reverse the decline.
