Maser lands a knockout, and is truly Dee-lighted

-

ARTIST Maser is clearly happy to be punching above his weight as he got a resounding yes to his marriage proposal from MMA fighter and personal trainer Dee Fitzpatrick.

The painter and graffiti artist – real name Al Hester – has been boxing clever with Dee and landed a knockout when he presented her with a stunning sparkling diamond ring.

A clearly delighted Dee took to social media to announce their engagement, right.

The couple paint a pretty picture and have been a constant at each other’s side since they started dating some years ago.

But it’s not the Dublin street artist’s first brush with love having previously dated some of Ireland’s top beauties, including Vogue Williams, Thalia Heffernan and Daniella Moyles.

While he is now looking towards life as a husband, Maser has maintained a friendship with some of his former flames. Vogue remains a mainstay in Maser’s world after the pair dated when they were in their very early 20s for five years before breaking up in 2011.

Such was the amicable nature of their parting, they even holidayed together in Iceland post-split in 2016, just as Vogue was beginning to date her now husband Spencer Matthews.

The artist is as famous for this work on walls as his work on canvas and was behind the ‘Repeal the 8th’ mural that featured a red heart on a blue background, and was prominent throughout the referendum campaign.

While his Repeal mural propelled him to national attention, Maser has been painting since the age of 15, starting on the streets of the capital. He can now be found painting in his gallery in Dublin’s Charlemont Street, where he also champions and showcases emerging artists.
