SIX HIGHLIGHTS FOR WHAT EVER MOOD YOU’RE IN
If you want design ideas... YOUR HOME MADE PERFECT Monday, 8pm, BBC2
The cutting-edge interior design show is back, bigger than ever. This time, host Angela Scanlon (right) is joined by not two, but six incredible architects, who will be competing to transform problematic properties into dream homes with the magic of virtual reality.
If you want fabulous comedy... MOTHERLAND
Monday, 9pm, BBC2
A perfectly cast Joanna Lumley turns up this week in a hilarious Mother’s Day-themed episode of the parenting comedy. She’s absolutely fabulous as Amanda’s awful mum – and seeing how she treats her daughter, you almost feel sorry for the normally insufferable Amanda (Lucy Punch, right with Lumley).
If you want fresh laughs... DOLLFACE
Monday, 11.35pm, RTÉ2
Kat Dennings (right) stars in a new comedy series as Jules, who is dumped by her longterm boyfriend and must deal with her own imagination when she literally and metaphorically re-enters the world of women, in order to rekindle the female friendships she left behind. Brenda Song, Shay Mitchell, and Esther Povitsky also star.
If you want a tense thriller... BEFORE WE DIE Wednesday, 9pm, Ch4
This six-part thriller – a remake of a Swedish series – gets off to a promising start. Lesley Sharp is police detective Hannah Laing, who becomes deeply concerned when her married lover and fellow officer disappears. Could her troubled son Christian (Patrick Gibson, right with Sharp) be involved?
If you want local history... THE ROAD TO PARTITION Thursday, 9pm, BBC1
This two-part documentary revisits the dramatic events that led up to the creation of the state of Northern Ireland and the border that would separate the island. It also examines how partition, as recent news stories show, still dominates relations between Ireland and Britain.
If you want great outdoors... TRACKS AND TRAILS Friday, 7.30pm, RTé One
