Amazon have taken that book and turned it into a slick series, in which the graduating class of Carp compete in a terrifying contest in which there is one rule – don’t panic – and a big cash prize for the victors to start a new life.

DRAMA The Good Fight (Seasons 1-3) ★★★★ This Good Wife spin-off becomes weirder as it goes on, and considerably less like the legal drama it is at the start. Season one tackles a Bernie Madoff-style story, and the cast includes The Beast Must Die’s Cush Jumbo as the ambitious Lucca.

MOVIE Unleashed (2005) 18 s ★★★ Intriguing martial arts tale of gangsters and brawlers that stars Jet Li, Morgan Freeman and Bob Hoskins, and has a script by French auteur Luc Besson. From Monday.
