Bridgerton’s Phoebe in Wimbledon love match with US star
BRIDGERTON star Phoebe Dynevor showed some deft strokes in the celebrity doubles at Wimbledon yesterday, making her first public outing with new boyfriend Pete Davidson.
The 26-year-old actress cosied up with the American comedian as they sat among spectators to watch Roger Federer triumph over Cameron Norrie on the Centre Court at the All England Club.
Phoebe playfully tweaked his ear and fussed over the 27-year-old Saturday Night Live ‘bad boy’ comedian, who gazed lovingly into her eyes before kissing her forehead as she leaned back, eyes closed, with his hand on her knee. The loved-up couple also quaffed a glass of fizz as they enjoyed the match on day six of the championships.
Phoebe looked effortlessly chic in an olive ribbed midi dress by Self-Portrait, a fashion label favoured by Kate Middleton, that she paired with a pair of strappy white heels.
Her beau, who is said to have told friends that he thought the actress was ‘hot as hell’ after watching her character Daphne’s raunchy scenes in the Netflix period drama, opted for a sweatshirt and chinos – and metallic nail polish. The US funnyman is known for dating a string of glamorous celebrities. He was previously engaged, following a whirlwind romance, to Ariana Grande and has also been linked to Kate Beckinsale and Kaia Gerber.
His relationship with Phoebe, daughter of Coronation Street star Sally Dynevor, who plays Sally Webster in the long-running soap, is thought to have started earlier this year. The couple were spotted together in Manchester in March.
They have also been seen wearing matching necklaces featuring their shared initials.
A source said: ‘Pete is wearing it as a romantic gesture to Phoebe.’
Earlier in the day, Phoebe chatted at a champagne reception at the All England Club with model Roxy Horner and her comedian boyfriend Jack Whitehall, who was also previously romantically linked with actress Kate Beckinsale.
