BOYBAND singer and broadcaster Nicky Byrne has been bombarded with messages of support following an online video he posted looking for people to take part in a new Saturday night prime-time gameshow. Nicky’s new show, called Take On Me, promises to be a fun-filled series that pits singers from around the country against each other, for the chance to win a cash prize of €25,000.

To win the prize, players will have to use their skills to out-smart their fellow contestants, while also showing off their karaoke talents – or singing for their €25k supper.

In his video, he said: ‘Hey all, it’s Nicky Byrne. Have you heard of Take On Me? No?

‘Well it’s RTÉ’s brandnew singing game show and we’re looking for singers from right across the country who think they have what it takes to not only out-smart but out-sing their competition,’ he said.

‘So, if you love a challenge and you want to be in with a chance to win a cool cash prize of €25,000, then apply now,’ he said.

Minutes after the Dancing With The Stars (DWTS) host posted the video, his fans and well-wishers were flooding his Instagram with support.

The show is being produced by ShinAwiL Productions, whose best known hits include DWTS, The Voice of Ireland, The Apprentice, Dragon’s Den and Masterchef Ireland.
