Jess and Rob’s snaps shine a light on their winter rugby wedding
THE new Mrs Jess Kearney has shared some stunning photographs from her glamorous wedding to rugby star Rob Kearney in December. The pair opted for a winter wedding and said their vows in front of friends, family and a smattering of sports stars at the five-star Trump International Hotel in Doonbeg, Co. Clare.
Now two months a married woman, Jess showcased some more pictures from her dream day which showed her every inch the beaming bride.
Pharmacy student Jess’s pictures showed her getting ready and walking walk hand-in-hand with Rob, as well as some portraits with her mother.
Jess’s mermaid-style gown hugged her figure to perfection and Rob looked like the husband who bagged his queen. In one image Rob’s brother Dave can be seen in his wedding attire with a big grin on his face as he watched his brother finally take the plunge. Dave recently proposed to brunette beauty Becca Mehigan, so he will soon be strutting down the aisle.
Meanwhile, former London IT girl Sophie Anderton also took the plunge in a wonderful Wicklow wedding recently.
Model Sophie, as is tradition these days, wore two gowns on her big day. And Sophie is donating her Helen Cody creation to raise funds for a worthy cause and help some other bride into a gorgeous dress.
Presenter Mairead Ronan shared details on Instagram, with all proceeds going to ARC Cancer Support.
‘This stunning, unique and utterly GORGEOUS wedding dress designed by Arc Cancer Support ambassador and Irish fashion designer Helen Cody and worn on her wedding day by Sophie Anderton could be yours,’ she posted.
Sophie wore the dress for the ceremony, then changed into another outfit for the rest of the celebrations, so she only wore it for about an hour. Raffle tickets are available until February 14. Tickets are €50 each or €100 for three.
RUMOURS may be raging about her complicated love life, but Strictly Come Dancing star Nadiya Bychkova’s smile yesterday suggested a star in high spirits.
The professional dancer stepped out in over-the-knee suede boots to make her way to rehearsals following revelations of a burgeoning relationship with fellow ballroom star Kai Widdrington, 26.
Ms Bychkova, 32, dressed in black and carrying a large grey tote, waved to onlookers as she left her hotel in Manchester shortly before Mr Widdrington.
The Ukrainian Slovenian dancer added to confusion over her romance by wearing an engagement ring, despite recently splitting from her fiancé, Slovenian professional footballer Matija Skarabot.
HERE’S the latest celebrity jewellery craze – and it’s a real sign of the times. Used antigen tests are being sported as earrings, as modelled here by Jude Law’s influencer daughter Iris, 21. Dior model Iris has taken to sticking jewels on to her tests and hanging them from her lobes. It’s seemingly a bid to point out what a waste of plastic they are.
