TWO men were arrested after a huge stash of cash was recovered when gardaí intercepted two vehicles.
The men, aged 38 and 27, were arrested on suspicion of facilitating, or enhancing the ability of, an organised crime group to commit a serious offence.
The vehicles were intercepted by gardaí attached to the Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau in the Holywell area of Swords, Co. Dublin, on Friday night.
Both men were detained at Coolock Garda station.
After a number of follow-up searches in the Swords and Clondalkin areas, gardaí said the total recovered was more than €374,000.
They said their investigation into the matter is ongoing.
Meanwhile, in a separate incident, gardaí seized suspected cannabis worth €40,000 when they stopped and searched a vehicle in the Rahoon area of Galway city on Friday.
During a follow-up search at a house in the city officers discovered a further €60,000 worth of suspected cannabis.
Two men in their 20s were arrested in connection with the seizures and held at the North Western Regional HQ, Galway.
One male has been released without charge and a file is being prepared for the DPP.
