THURSDAY, 10PM, RNAG ★★★★ Tonight, on the second anniversary of the death of DJ, producer and acid house icon Andrew Weatherall, Cian Ó Cíobháin will be spinning records from his seminal A Love From Outer Space parties, which he hosted with his dear friend and fellow sonic adventurer Sean Johnston from 2010 right up to his death.

SUNDAY, 6PM, LYRIC FM ★★★★ A Place of Stories is an audio journey through Ireland’s first public library, Marsh’s Library; an atmospheric meander through a hidden realm of knowledge and curiosities. Marsh’s Library, opened in 1707, is home to some of the rarest books in the world. The interior of the library has remained largely unchanged over the past 300 plus years. The library contains a collection of over 25,000 books and 300 manuscripts from the late Renaissance and early Enlightenment periods, including 387 books of which there is no other known copy in the world.

THURSDAY, 2.15PM, BBC RADIO 4 ★★★★ Leo Tolstoy disappeared from his home in 1910 to go on a mysterious mission that ended at a railway station in the town of Astapovo, where he died of pneumonia. This drama, by Rose Tremain, tells the story of Tolstoy’s last journey.
