What two can do on their wedding day

- By Colm McGuirk

THIS was the moment newlyweds David and Rosemary Cummins shared their first drink in matrimony, with a free pint of the black stuff outside the Stag’s Head pub in Dublin yesterday.

Salesperson David, 30, and teacher Rosemary, 28, were reliving their first date – on which they ended up in the popular city-centre pub – after getting hitched in Corpus Christi church in Drumcondra.

And staff in the pub were only too pleased to toast the young couple with pints of Guinness on the house, as surprised onlookers joined in the celebrations.

The couple made it to their reception around the corner in

Fallon and Byrne on Exchequer Street without spilling a drop, where more of the black stuff was enjoyed.

‘I’ll be on the Guinness all day,’ David said, ‘but Rosemary won’t be... she’ll be on the wine.’

The pair head off to Lisbon next week for their honeymoon.
