Taking inspiratio­n from extraordin­ary projects in Yellowston­e Park, the Kenyan Maasai lands and on the Knepp Estate in the UK, we learn that if we manage our land while keeping biodiversi­ty in mind, the wild can return.

Tonight’s episode comes from the Ulster Folk Museum, near Belfast, where Fiona Bruce and the experts encounter a wealth of treasures. There’s a stained-glass mermaid, a striking owl sculpture and a Japanese bronze temple bell.

A look at life on the isolated island off the coast of Central Africa. Covered by rainforest, it is inhabited by a greater variety of species than nearly any other place on Earth and the ruler of this realm is one of the world’s least known primates.
