Of all the lives that have been touched by Covid-19, few have played out as publicly as that of TV presenter Kate (right), whose husband, Derek Draper, became critically ill. It was touch and go for Derek while he was in intensive care, and Kate has bravely shared her turmoil with her loyal viewers over nearly two years.
