Could Myleene’s wedding be marred by a family rift?

- By Katie Hind

FAMILY and friends of Myleene Klass’s fiancé Simon Motson fear they will not be invited to the couple’s forthcoming wedding.

The Mail on Sunday can reveal some have become estranged from the public relations executive, who began dating the singer and TV presenter six years ago.

Sources close to the family say they have ‘lost’ Mr Motson but retain hope of a reconciliation in the future. ‘It is all very sad – families can be so complicated,’ said one source.

‘It looks unlikely that some of the members of his family will be there to see him marry Myleene, which would be a huge shame.

‘Some of those who have been closest to Simon for so many years feel like they have lost him. There are desperate hopes that there can be some making up, but at the moment that doesn’t look that likely.’

Ms Klass, 43, got engaged to 47-year-old Mr Motson during lockdown in September 2020, sharing their news in Hello! magazine.

She said she was delaying her big day due to Covid restrictions, but added that her eldest daughter Ava, 14, had been helping to plan the nuptials.

The couple, who have a two-year-old son, Apollo, told Hello! how Mr Motson proposed in their garden shed after transforming it into a replica of the bar where they first met on a blind date. He even borrowed the same table and chairs they had sat on at Little House private members’ club in Mayfair, London.

‘I was absolutely blown away, he even replicated the dinner we had – burger and fries, followed by cherry pie,’ said Ms Klass.

A spokesman for Ms Klass did not wish to comment last night.

‘They feel like they have lost him’
