Madonna and child ...the proof her rift with Rocco is over
And he’s the suave spitting image of sharp-suited dad
MADONNA and her son Rocco appear to have patched up their strained relationship, with the pair enjoying an evening out at an exclusive London restaurant.
Dressed in dapper suit, 21-year-old Rocco also looked very much like his father, the film director Guy Ritchie, as he dined with his mother at Harry’s Bar in Mayfair.
Madonna, whose face looked as smooth as her long blonde hair, was dressed in black knee-length shorts and tights accessorised with a pair of sunglasses and studded boots. But her hands, clutching a bag by Japanese fashion label Commes Des Garcons emblazoned with the words ‘Loveable rogue’, gave away her 63 years.
The pair have had a rocky relationship, which reached a low when the pop queen lost custody of Rocco in 2016, when her son

decided to stay with his father. But signs of a rapprochement appeared earlier this year, when it was revealed that the expressionist painter ‘Rhed’, whose work she was championing, was, in fact, her son.
Although neither mother nor son managed to crack a smile as they left the restaurant on Friday, they did appear to be having a jolly time inside the private members’ bar. It serves classic Italian food and stars including David Furnish, David Walliams and Victoria Beckham – and even Ritchie – are regulars.
The picture of Rocco with Madonna calls to mind an image from 2008 when his dad appeared on the red carpet for the premiere of his action crime movie RockNRolla dressed in a pinstripe suit.
Madonna has been back grabbing headlines in recent weeks, posting a series of provocative images on Instagram, in which she appeared decades younger that her true age, with not a wrinkle, blemish or hint of jowl to be seen. Beneath one photograph of her in a body warmer, one social media follower told her she ‘looks about 16’.
Madonna and Ritchie, 53, divorced in 2008, with Rocco growing closer to his father than
his mother in the aftermath of their split. The feud between Rocco and Madonna flared up in December 2015, when he refused to leave the UK with his mother when she finished the British leg of her world tour. She launched legal action in the US and UK demanding her son, then 15, be returned to her.
But lawyers for Mr Ritchie argued Rocco was settled in school in London.
