★★★ Lupita Nyong’o narrates the second series of the dramatised natural history show. In the first episode, the animals go in search of higher ground as they scramble to escape a flood, and there are tensions in the lion pride.

Stanley Tucci: Searching For Italy 7.15PM, BBC2

In part two, the actor heads to Rome in search of the famous ‘four pastas’: carbonara, cacio e pepe, amatrician­a and alla Gricia. He also samples a selection of cheeses and sausages made from sheep and pigs farmed in the area.

The Great Pottery Throw Down: The Final 7.45PM, CH4 ★★★★

Guest host Ellie Taylor returns to join Siobhán McSweeney to present the grand final as the three remaining potters face two of their toughest challenges yet: to create grand totem sculptures that tell the stories of their lives, and then take on devil’s work — it’s not in any way as sinister as it sounds.

Back in Britain, Tommy (Cillian Murphy) gets involved in a power game with fascists, freedom-fighters and Boston gangsters in episode two of the final series. As the players stack up against the Brummie gang leader, Tommy visits an old ally in Camden.

The four semi-finalists face two challenges, and one is to prepare a lavish meal to be photograph­ed for a doublepage spread that, they hope, will be in the winning cookbook. Jamie Oliver is on hand to guide them, and three will go through to the final.

Following on from last year’s Harvey And Me, about Katie Price’s bond with her eldest son, this new film charts their lives as Harvey attends college and settles into his own flat. While he becomes more independen­t, his mum has to turn to her family for support.

With the final series of the gangster drama under way (Sundays, BBC1), this new two-parter reveals the real-life inspiratio­n for Tommy Shelby and his criminal clan. The story begins in Birmingham and other industrial cities in the late 19th century.

Moors Murders: The Trial 9PM, CH4 ★★★

In this harrowing final episode, Myra Hindley’s brother-in-law, David Smith, and journalist Clive Entwistle describe Ian Brady and Hindley’s murder trial in 1966, and the tension in court as a tape of the pair’s heinous crimes was played.

The properties competing for the coveted title this week are a split-level home in Co Wicklow, a 1950s estate home in Dublin, and a renovated 1870s cottage with a barrel roof extension in Sligo. Which one will impress the judges?

This promising new sitcom from Steve Coogan’s production company puts an absurd take on a scary time in British history. It’s set during the English Civil War, and stars Tim Key as incompeten­t witchfinde­r Gideon Bannister and Daisy May Cooper as a woman who may be a witch — but probably isn’t.

A new series explores the history of witch hunts, asking why thousands of people, mainly women, were accused of being in league with the devil. It begins with the stories of two Irish women who were branded as witches.

Killing Eve

10.15PM, RTé ONE ★★★ She may be a dab hand at switching personas, but Villanelle is finding her current quest for change is not going to plan. Meanwhile, Eve tracks down someone who may be useful, and Carolyn finds herself pushed aside by MI6.

The concluding part of the documentar­y focuses on the present-day ramificati­ons. One of the principal witnesses, Elizabeth Coppin, pursues legal action to have what she experience­d in the wash rooms during the 1940s and 1950s recognised internatio­nally as torture, facilitate­d by the Irish State.
